PETITION RESPONSE - UPDATE

• The doors are now installed and working!!! further work will be carried out to ensure all doors are fully acccessible.(18/11/08)

• The automatic accessible doors to your Students' Union are being installed today (17/11/08)
• Talks are ongoing regarding the cash machine facility. the university now understands the need and demand for it!
• The cigarette waste bins have arrived and are position 10metres from the buildings-in keeping with University policy.
•  

We are getting there slowly but surely.

The 3-way petition for essential services and facilities on campus was hand delivered by Rusty/Andrew the Vice President to the Senior Management team of the University and to Estates and Facilities on Friday 17th October 2008 at 1pm.

The Facilities Manager has replied saying…

"We are awaiting quotes for the doors and they will be here by the end of this week, as for the Bins for Cigarettes, I have ordered 4 for the Site… they will be installed soon. The Cash Machine is being dealt with by the Estates Manager, who will return from annual leave on Monday 27th October…

As a follow up to the petition all confirmed dates and details will be passed to the Students' Union as soon as possible."
