Fortunes Fall
This is what happens when you let imagination and creativity run wild. It's being true to your influences, taking new directions and exploring new sounds. It's starting from nothing and always building, never ending. This is what happens when fortunes fall.
Ed Blann started recording music in 2004, in a home recording studio in his girlfriend's garage. Playing rock and pop on an acoustic guitar, Ed soon wanted to express himself and his music in it's true form, and started to experiment with GarageBand. Initially the guitar effects and drum loops were enough to satisfy his music and creativity, but he soon became fascinated by the electronic elements of GarageBand production. In 2007, he remixed an already recorded version of what had started life as a rather heavy rock song. The original remixed GarageBand file of this song has been lost - but the reworked version has become Fortunes Fall's flagship anthem, "Debut".
Now Fortunes Fall is a genre-encompassing experiment that a lot of people seem to enjoy, and this makes Ed very happy. Currently looking for shows in the south of Scotland, but might be convinced to travel further afield.
