
On the 24th of February 2008 Queen Margaret students Union was one of the first to offset it’s carbon emissions by partnering up with Globaltrees – a non profit organisation set up to offset by planting trees around the globe. President & Vice president attended the planting ceremony at
“The Students Union at Queen Margaret are committed to sustaining an environmentally friendly campus life for students, The campus itself boasts extremely complex energy efficient intelligence and to add to that we are actively encouraging students to think about the effects of global warming and how they can help as individuals or groups in saving our climate and planet one small step at a time. We are in full support of the work that Globaltrees is carrying out and it is our mission to implement a partnership to ensure that we as a student body recognise their goals and do as much as we can to aid them in this process".
