Andrew McClean

Hi folks, this is Andrew McClean, or Rusty as most people know me, I am the current Vice President of Queen Margaret University. I have just finished my final year of a Physiotherapy degree and have decided to stay on at Queen Margaret for another year to help make a difference alongside Rio Floreza, the Student President.

My job for the next year is pretty exciting, it involves the sports and societies, social events and entertainment, and the student media.

The sports and societies have been boosted over the last few years, now we have over 30 well attended clubs and societies. Last year our Girls Hockey and Basketball teams were undefeated in their BUSA leagues, and although our boys Rugby team were 0 for 6 we had a great year with many new and talented first year players. This year also brings about the introduction of the long awaited QM students radio, which is a very exciting project run by the Students Union so we are looking for any budding broadcasters to get involved.

As you can tell this is going to a huge year for The Students' Union Queen Margaret University and I am personally delighted to be involved myself and would love for you folks to do the same. Getting involved in the Students Union will give you a real sense of identity and you will make some great friends along the way.
