What is the Executive Committee?
The Executive Committee is a group of elected students responsible for the day to day operation of the Union. Like all the Officers of the Students Union each member has a specific area of responsibility, but in addition the Committee as a whole are responsible for the finances, staffing and planning of the Union.
The President and Vice-President are the two full time posts ( known as sabbaticals ) which are paid, positions. They take ultimate responsibility for the Students Union.
Other Officer positions are part-time and are done in addition to your course.
All Officers are members of the Executive Committee and members of the Student Parliament
The term of office for all Officers runs from 10th June 2008 - 10th June 2009. In addition there is a 'handover' period of two weeks.
