Silencing Stigma in Mental Health

This session aims to highlight the realities of mental illness by eradicating the negative stereotypes that exist in society. Bring your pre-conceptions, your attitudes and your questions. But be prepared to have them changed by the end!

Stress and Anxiety

Stress and Anxiety are a daily struggle for most students. This 2 hour workshop aims to give a condensed overview of stress and anxiety and how to cope with it. Some useful things to cover would include how do you cope with stress, how do you identify it in other people, what can you do to help them etc.

Depression

Depression is a growing concern for students. You probably all know somebody who has or had faced low mood. This workshop will tackle the taboo around depression and provide practical advice on how to identify it and how to help your friends to cope with it.

Body Confidence

Ever opened a magazine and wished you looked like someone else? Ever thought about changing something about the way you look? Then come to this workshop. This session will help you think about how media and social norms interact with our self esteem, and makes us question our own uniqueness. By the end of the session you will hopefully leave feeling more confident about who you are and what you look like. Aimed primarily at women, but all welcome.
Please note only 15 students per session.
