Description

QMU Anime Society has one main purpose: to watch anime! Anime Society is a community which aims to offer a relaxed end to the week with our laid back meetings and socials. What started out 5 years ago as a small group of people who had weekly meets to watch anime, has become a strong society designed to give members a place to feel safe and comfortable, to be themselves and provide a space to relax and de-stress after a week of classes and work.

In previous years we’ve also gained recognition from the SU throughout the years winning both Best Newcomer and Nairn Most Improved awards. When the society was founded it had two goals, which still hold key to what we do:

  • to broaden the viewing habits of all members which we do through mixing between sub and dub anime, screening both films and series of varying genres.
  • to meet other likeminded individuals and since running our weekly meetings we’ve made great friends through out the years! We’ve branched out to also include trips and associations with other Anime Societies in Edinburgh to help make friends, watch anime and above all have an anime-zing time!

Drop us an email if you’re interested or pop along to one of our meetings, every Friday at 4:15pm!
