New to Freshers’ Week? Here are some answers that you may find useful.
What is QMUSU Freshers’ Week?
Freshers’ Week refers to your first week at university; it’s an exciting time, packed with activities, events and information. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, find out about your new life at university and what the Students’ Union has to offer, sign up for sports and societies, make new friends and have fun!
What is a Freshers’ Week wristband?
Wristbands are your pass to QMUS Freshers. They allow you to experience all the main events that we (QMU Students’ Union) have organised for you and include wristband exclusives & freebies!
We usually offer 2 types of wristbands: one is available to 18+ only and allows you to purchase alcoholic drinks at our events (remember that proof of your age will always be required when purchasing alcohol); the other allows access to our main events in Maggie’s only, without the alcoholic drinks option.
What events and activities does a wristband include?
Details of events and activities included in each wristband will be available in the Guide soon.
Where can I buy and collect my wristband?
More information about where to buy your wristband will be available soon. Collection will be on arrival, on key collection days. Remember to bring a valid ID when collecting it!
If I don’t have a wristband, can I purchase individual tickets for events?
Yes, however these will be subject to availability. Please check our facebook page for all events and activities information.
