Ideas are generated by students, for students. Any student can suggest what we should do as a Students’ Union to help make student life better. All students have then 2 weeks to have their say on whether they like or dislike the idea; once the idea reaches 15+ positive votes it gets sumbmitted to the Officers Committee, which decides what to do with it.
Your idea can belong to one of the following categories:

Your studies – any ideas you’ve got to improve your studies
Student activities – any ideas you’ve got about activities or events for students
Student wellbeing – any ideas you’ve got to help students
Equality and Diversity – any ideas you’ve got to tackle equality and diversity
Maggie's – any ideas you've got about your student bar & café
Musselburgh local community – any ideas you’ve got to improve our relationship with the local town
Other – any ideas that don’t fit any other category

VOTE – Get students to vote or comment online. The more interest your idea gets, the sooner we’ll address it.
AWAITING DECISION – The Officers Committee is looking at your idea and deciding what to do with it.
APPROVED – We think your idea is a good one. Let’s go!
REJECTED – Unfortunately your idea didn't make it, but you're always welcome to submit another one!
NOT THIS TIME – We thought your idea was interesting, but it wasn't considered viable at present.
WE ARE WORKING ON IT – We are turning your idea into reality.
WE DID IT! – We did it! You helped us make student life better.
