The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that has been running annually since 1991. It takes place between the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and the 10th of December, Human Rights Day.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness, challenge societal norms and advocate for an end to gender-based violence. Through the promotion of various initiatives, the campaign encourages everyone to contribute to the fight against harassment, discrimination and abuse, and create a world where we can all live without fear of violence, regardless of gender. This is a great opportunity for us all to reflect on our role in fostering a safer and more inclusive environment.

There are many ways we can get involved, from learning about the different types of gender-based violence to participating in events, engaging in discussions and raising awareness of the issue. By challenging stereotypes and behaviours, we can encourage positive relationships and contribute to shape a better culture and environment.

Our actions on campus can be an example for broader societal change, influencing not only our peers but also the people around us.
