Our Events Officer, Tim Carlsen was the recipient of the 2018 STaR Award for Officer of the Year.

Here's what he said to us: "Thank you! Really happy with winning the award!"

 

1. How do you feel about winning a STaR Award this year?

"I am beyond happy and grateful to have been selected among the other amazing candidates! The award is also a great reminder for me to carrying on working hard and to remained determined."

 

2. What have you done/do you plan to do with your certificate?

"Firstly, I posted a photo with the award on various social media (Facebook, Instagram & Linkedin). Secondly, it has now a lovely place on my wall in my flat. It was a great feeling to be able to show my award on Linkedin, because this is a way for me to show the people in my professional life what I have been up to in the last year!"

 

3. What do you enjoy most about your Officer role at QMU?

"I have enjoyed the collaborations with different people, from various expertise - and the outcome from the collaborations. Although the planning stage could be tedious, the end result was always worth it! I have enjoyed working with the Students' Union staff and especially teaming up with Kelly Hynd (Events Coordinator) on a series of events! There are multiple great memories from this short year and I will truly miss my time as Events Officer for Queen Margaret University."
