Every November, following an idea launched 20 years ago by two friends in Australia, men ditch their razors and let their moustache grow for a special campaign known as “Movember”. This movement is more than that though; taking part in “Movember” is also about raising funds to support various men’s health initiatives.

However, “Movember” is more than a moustache and more than a fundraiser. “Movember” is a conversation starter, a way to create awareness about men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

People around the world get involved in creating fundraising events and join forces to support this cause. Last year our QMU community, led by student Gregor Nixon, raised a whopping £15,999 for the cause. 

So, as November rolls in, make sure you're signed up as an individual, team or a society and create your Mo space on the Movember app! Find out about all the fun events and S&S challenges lined up this month through the QMU Movember insta and get involved.
