We're delighted to announce that we've made your idea happen! The Students' Union now has a mobile phone and card reader which teams and societies will be able to sign out for fundraisers, allowing them to take card and contactless payments. More information will be available on our website soon.

I think it would be a great idea to being able to loan a card machine in order to help fundraisers (bake sales) for sports & societies. The funds would go towards the core budgets of the respectable sports or societies. We are a cashless university, so people tend not to be have cash or loose change. A card machine would help a great deal and fundraisers may see an increase in sales.
