For many, many years now, microwaves (or the lack of) have been one of the most discussed topics at QMU. Staff and students have been desperate for access to microwaves but for a number of reasons the University couldn’t make it happen. Student Presidents have campaigned year on year for the installation of microwaves for student use and in March 2020 that long held, hard fought for dream became a reality………then we all went into lockdown!

 

We are now delighted to report that the delayed microwave installations will happen this week! Keep your eyes peeled in 1875 for their arrival and get planning how you want to use them. This will be a pilot project initially so please make sure you treat the microwaves with respect and keep them clean.
