QMU Ladies Gaelic Football Club was established in 2008 and proudly competes in both the Scottish League and the British Championship each year. In 2008 and 2016, we made QMU history by being crowned British Champions.

 

Over the years, we've consistently performed at a high level, reaching finals and semi-finals between 2013 and 2018. After returning to the British Championship in 2023, we fought our way to the semi-final. Last year we took home the British Championship Sheild in Birmingham.

 

Our girls have fought hard throughout the years, retaining the title of Scottish Champions for the last 4 years!! 

 

With determination and momentum on our side, we're aiming to build on our success and make an even stronger return for the 2025/26 season!

 

 

We train twice a week in the Meadows and in Inverleith Park, both in Edinburgh city centre, playing games at weekends in the Scottish league against other Scottish Universities. 

 

Our team has been made up of girls from not just Ireland and Scotland, but many parts of the world!

 

Our 2024/25 sponsors are Malones Leith, where we'll hold our fundraisers and team socials.

 

 

 

Whether you're an experienced player or completely new to Gaelic football, you're more than welcome to join - whether it's to play, stay active or learn a new sport and make new friends. All levels are welcome!
