At QMU Musical Theatre Society, we are united by a passion for musical theatre! We pride ourselves on being a close-knit and welcoming team, and are always excited to meet new members - all abilities are welcome and there’s no pressure to perform!

 

In Semester One we offer opportunities to try singing, acting and dance, as well as production and technical opportunities in the run up to our Winter Showcase! Once we’ve done all this, our year culminates with our “big show” in Semester Two, where we perform a full-scale musical!

Previous shows include Footloose (2023), Grease (2022), The Addams Family Musical (2020 - unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19), Bare: A Pop Opera (2019), RENT (2018) and American Idiot (2017). In 2021, we wrote our own online musical, "Miss Rona", so all of our members could still perform together from the safety of their own homes!

Beginning September 2023, we are planning to give you the best Musical Theatre Society experience, and we are so excited to be on stage together! We cannot wait to bring back exciting socials, karaoke nights and musical theatre adventures, so come along and see what we’re about! Whether you’re a new or existing student, we invite you to join us and extend our warmest welcome into our MT family.
