Queen Margaret University Netball Club strikes the perfect balance between competitive competition, training and social events. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve never played netball before, haven’t played since school or have represented your county/country, there will be a place for you in QMUNC! The Netball 1st Team currently play in BUCS 4A and are winners of the SSS Conference Plate 2018 and 2019. We also have a 2nds team who play in BUCS 7A as well as a recreational team. We want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to play competitively!
We train every Tuesday 5-7pm in the QMU Sports Hall and we welcome all abilities whether you're wanting to gain, maintain or improve your netball skills! Matches tend to be on Saturdays. We hope to build on past success for the forthcoming season! The QMUNC calendar is also filled with numerous social events! We spent majority Wednesday nights out at our sponsor Three Sisters where we have the best nights! Please follow our instagram page @qmu_netball and join our facebook group QMUNC2025/26 for more information and socials updates.
Dates for the diary (tbc) include a (fun!) welcome night, Grand Ball (the biggest event of the year) and the annual round robin tournament (to settle who is the strongest of the teams!).
QMUNC is dedicated towards raising money for important charities, last year we raised just under £920 for Movember and £270 at our Burns Night fundraiser for Macmillan, we aim to carry on our fundraisng for charities next year with out 3 chosen chairities TBC.
So if you want some good healthy competition, to get fit, make some new friends or an excuse for a night out… QMUNC IS FOR YOU!
