Description

Welcome to the Occupational Therapy Society! Our aim is to create a fun, welcoming, and inclusive community where students can connect, make new friends, and celebrate everything occupational therapy.

Whether you're just starting your OT journey or are in your final year, our society is here to support you both socially and professionally through exciting events, socials, peer support, guest speakers, and opportunities to learn more about the incredible OT profession.

You don't have to be studying Occupational Therapy to join! We welcome students from all courses who are interested in wellbeing, healthcare, inclusion, trying new activities, or simply meeting new people. Everyone is welcome!

This year we're hoping to introduce:

  • Occupation of the Month – trying a new occupation together each month, from pottery and baking to hiking, crafts, and more.

  • Community volunteering – giving back through meaningful volunteer opportunities and local projects.

  • Adaptive sports/activites on campus – getting involved in inclusive sport and activity sessions while learning about accessibility, participation, and inclusive recreation.

  • Socials, movie nights, study sessions, guest speakers, and opportunities to connect with students across all years and disciplines.

Occupational therapy is all about helping people participate in the activities that matter most to them and we want our society to reflect that too by creating a community where everyone feels included and supported.

We'd love to have you involved, so don't hesitate to get in touch. We can't wait to meet you!
