Rugby (Men's)

 

QMU Men’s Rugby has helped many players over the past find a place to have fun, stay in shape, and liven up their university experience. In the coming 24/25 season we hope to build on this! We want to encourage a fun culture in our team where players new and old feel motivated to come along to training sessions and socials.

This year we will be training on Lismore’s pitches at Inch Park, Old Dalkeith Rd, Edinburgh EH16 4TD. Sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm. This year we will also be introducing one gym session a month to help educate people on how to grow as a player. Our training this year will prepare us for games against other universities all across Scotland.

On top of training and games, the team offers fun and exciting socials in flats or out on the town with your fellow teammates. These will include themed nights, or games, as well as joining up with other societies for some memorable nights! You will also be able to help during team fundraisers and charity fundraisers, Movember being the most notable.

We welcome all skill levels, whether you are a seasoned player or just fancy trying something new. We would love to have you down, fresh faces are always welcome throughout the year!
