Welcome to QMU Women's Hockey Club!.
Whether you’ve never picked up a hockey stick before or you’ve been playing for years, QMU Women’s Hockey Club is the perfect place to get involved, stay active, meet new people, and have a lot of fun — on and off the pitch!
We’re an inclusive and welcoming club open to all abilities — from complete beginners to experienced players. Our aim is to build a strong sense of team spirit, improve our hockey skills, and most importantly, enjoy the game together.
📍 Where: Peffermill Playing Fields
🕖 When: Every Monday evening, from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Our training sessions focus on skill development, fitness, teamwork, and game tactics. Whether you're a beginner learning the basics or an advanced player looking to sharpen your game, our sessions are tailored to support everyone. Come ready to work hard, improve, and have fun!
🗓 When: Wednesday afternoons (BUCS League fixtures)
📍 Where: Home and away, depending on the fixture
We compete in the BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) league and love the energy of match days! .
We’re just as committed to having fun off the pitch as we are on it!With regular socials throughout the year — including themed nights out, quiz nights, team dinners, and joint events with other QMU sports clubs — there’s always something to look forward to. Once you've purchased high affiliation, it will unlock the Hockey membership which you will then be able to purchase.
Hockey terms of membership 2025/2026:
Members will agree to:
Pay the appropriate affiliation fees and any team/group fees that are required
Attend training regularly and provide an apology if unable to attend at least 2 hours before training starts.
Be available when you can to support our club.
Support your committee on team decisions and understand that your captains and presidents’ decision is final.
Adhere to the conditions set out in the QMUSU Code of Conduct
Report any actions that you observe that go against QMUSU Code of Conduct to your President
Be respectful of your fellow members and those of other Sports and Societies
Show good sportsmanship at matches
